Orchestral instruments and terms is a section where a lot of students neglect when preparing for ABRSM grade 4 to 5 exams and this section usually takes up to 10 marks in the exam under the new syllabus. This page is created to help students improve their knowledge of orchestral instruments and also to help pave the way to learning more about orchestration in the higher grades.
In this page I’ve included notes on orchestral instruments and terms and quizzes according to ABRSM syllabus for grades 4 to 5. I’ve included 2 quizzes for each grade, one for basic knowledge of orchestral instruments and the other one is the same as what will be tested in the exam for that grade.
