Grade 2 Scales and Arpeggios

For Grade 2, students would be required to play all scales both hands. The transition from playing separate hands to both hands scales is not easy, especially for young children. They need a lot of reinforcement to remember the fingering and the coordination between hands. Thus it is advisable for parents to learn so that they can guide their children at home.

Arpeggios and broken chords would still be played separate hands, but grade 2 broken chords is a more difficult version than the grade 1 one and many young students have problem learning them and would need more guidance at home.
