Classical Graded Exam Syllabus

  • ABRSM or Trinity Syllabus
  • Choice of face to face exams or performance grades (digital exam)
  • Suitable for age 5 onwards
  • 9 – 18 months to progress from beginner to initial/Prep Test or Grade 1 depending on student’s age and ability
  • 12 – 18 months on average to complete subsequent grades, depending on student’s ability and practice frequency.
  • Music Theory is included in grades 1 to 5. Inclusion of grades 6 to 8 theory depends on the lesson duration and student’s ability.
  • Performance opportunity included but optional
  • Opportunity to take part in festivals

Classical Diploma Syllabus

  • ABRSM or Trinity Syllabus (ARSM / ATCL) performance diploma
  • Choice of face to face exams or performance grades (digital exam)
  • Only for students who have attained grade 8 ABRSM or Trinity
  • 2-3 years depending on student’s ability and practice frequency
  • Performance opportunity mandatory

Leisure / Pop Piano

  • Suitable for age 4 onwards
  • Structured lesson plan to ensure good foundation and progression at the student’s pace
  • Learn your favorite songs with sheet music
  • Basic improvisation taught
  • Music Theory included up to grade 5 only
  • Option to switch to exam syllabus depending on student’s ability
  • Performance opportunity included but optional

Group Theory

  • Grade 5 Theory crash course
    • 12 lessons (3 months)
    • for age 12 and above
    • Suitable for students learning other instruments that do not include theory in lesson
  • Grade 6 to 8 Theory
    • 12 to 18 months
    • for age 13 and above
    • A good foundation in Grades 5 theory is required (at least merit)
  • Please form your own groups (max. 4 per group)

Elite Piano Course (audition required)

  • For age 4 onwards
  • 6-12 months to progress from beginner to grade 1
  • 6 -9 months for each subsequent grade from grades 2 to 5
    • student will attain grade 5 by age 8
  • 9-12 months for each subsequent grade from grades 6 to 8
    • student will attain grade 8 by age 11
  • Choice of face to face or performance grades (digital exam)
  • Music Theory not included
    • Student will be required to extend their lesson to include theory or take theory as a separate individual / group lesson.
  • Opportunity to take part in at least 3 festivals / competitions a year
  • Performance opportunity mandatory
